Musical Theater at Ballet Virginia

Musical Theater 1 for ages 7 through 9 and Musical Theater 2 for ages 10 through 16

Dancers must also be actors and this class is sure to bring out and foster skills needed to be an expressive dancer. Dance steps and acting are combined with singing and monologues are memorized Acting is a part of every role danced in ballet and this class will give the student the skills needed. Students may enroll in Musical Theater only and are not required to also take ballet.

Students learn pantomime, improvisation, stage movement, and singing along with rehearsing and performing various musicals throughout the year. Students have featured spots in these one-act musicals where they gain performance skills and confidence. These class take place at Ballet Virginia’s Virginia Beach location.
